Disturbance at Bates County Courthouse Leads to Arrest On October 24, 2017 a Deputy was dispatched to the Bates County Courthouse regarding a disturbance that was in progress.  After his arrival the Deputy noticed a thick layer of white substance in the air as well as on the floor of the 3rd floor of the courthouse.  The fire alarm had been activated.http://921news.com/disturbance-at-bates-county-courthouse-leads-to-arrest/
