Bates County Sheriff's Office Makes Arrests

BATES COUNTY, Mo – On 02-10-2015 Bates County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop just outside the city limits of Adrian for failure to stop at a stop sign. The Bates County Deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Harold Hubbard of Adrian, Missouri. During the traffic stop Bates County Deputy located inside the vehicle a small amount of marijuana. Harold Hubbard was arrested and issued three uniform citations for Driving while Suspended, Failure to stop at a posted stop sign and Possession of marijuana.


On 02-11-2015 Bates County Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a 1994 Ford Explorer VIN #1FMDU34X6RUA87418 with license plate numbers of FK4-F8P, was believed to have been stolen between the hours of 1700 hours and 2200 hours on 02-11-2015 from a rural Bates County residence. The vehicle has not yet been located.


On 02-12-2015 Bates County Deputies responded to a theft that had occurred earlier in rural Bates County in the Rich Hill area. The victim stated that he had stolen from his property eight ten foot square beams, four thirty foot beams, one eighteen foot square beam and one semi aluminum fuel tank.


On 02-16-2015 Bates County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop for defective equipment. The Bates County Deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was suspended. During the traffic stop investigation Bates County Deputy located inside the vehicle marijuana and methamphetamine. Bates County Deputy arrested the adult male and the passenger an adult female for the illegal narcotics found inside the vehicle. Charges are pending at this time.

If you see suspicious vehicles in your community, attempt to get a license plate number. It is also helpful to Deputies if you are able to get a vehicle description and a description of the person or persons in that vehicle.
