Hit List Found in Clinton’s Middle School

HENRY COUNTY, Mo – According to posts in Facebook, a hit list was discovered in Clinton’s middle school and resulted in suspensions for two boys. Students talked about watching them pulled out of class and out the school’s front door.

The list was started by two sixth-grade boys at the school. On it were the names of 23 students and one teacher.

When asked about the incident, the Clinton School District wouldn’t say what else was on the list or how the boys planned to carry out their plans and when.

In a statement released by the school district Friday they said, “Clinton Middle School Administration immediately contacted law enforcement, and detained the two students who created the list, and started an investigation.”

Clinton police have not commented on the investigation, but an officer was on school grounds Friday afternoon. The district superintendent hasn’t released how long the students would be suspended for. Criminal charges may be pending.
