The staff of the messenger News Paper would like to reach out to their subscribers who paid for a subscription to the Drexel Star,
now going to print as The Messenger.
The Drexel Star enjoyed a long history, founded in 1892. It was purchased by the Gunn family in 1992 with their daughter and her husband, Steve and Linda Oldfield. The Oldfields took the lead in publishing both the Adrian Journal and the Drexel Start in 1994.
The staff of The Messenger understand the disappointment of losing a newspaper devoted solely to your town. Your news will continue to be covered, as is promised under the banner of The Messenger and will be a continuation of the Drexel Star and The Adrian Journal.
Your subscription to the Drexel Star will continue to receive The Messenger for the full length of the subscription.
If you held a subscription for both the Drexel Star and the Adrian Journal, you will receive the full time, one subscription extended at the end of the first.
The messenger assures all readers that their goal is to produce a quality product.
