Drexel and Cass County News

Cass County News : On Saturday June 13th at 9:00 p.m. The Drexel Police and Cass County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of East Maple regarding a subject threatening family members with an ax.


Upon their arrival officers believed that the suspect was still inside the house. Officers on the scene requested the Cass County Tactical Response Team to conduct a search of the residence. The subject was not located inside the residence.

Cass County Deputies found the suspect at a nearby church where he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cass County Jail. The suspect, David W. Cook, 30, was charged with Second Degree Domestic Assault and issued a bond of $7500.00.

Mr. Cook is currently in custody and being held on Bates County and Vernon County warrants.
