Vehicle into Residence

BATES COUNTY, Mo – On June 12, 2015, Deputies from the Bates County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a vehicle that had just struck a residence. The suspect, identified as Andrew Diehl, drove into the victim’s driveway at a high rate of speed. Diehl was unable to stop the vehicle and ran into the side of the residence. Mr. Diehl then fled the scene on foot. Deputies did an area canvass and tried to apprehend Diehl but were unsuccessful.


On June 13, 2015, Andrew Diehl turned himself in to the Bates County Sheriff’s Office. Diehl had two outstanding warrants out of Bates County and the City of Butler. The Bates County warrant was for driving while revoked. The bond was $2500.00 cash or surety. The City of Butler warrant was for failure to appear. The bond amount of the City of Butler warrant was $500.00 cash or surety.
