Jefferson City, Mo— Missouri Representative Randy Pike extends an invitation to the District 126 citizens of Vernon and Bates County to visit the Missouri State Capitol. A special visit day is planned for Tuesday, April 29, which will include touring the Missouri State Capitol, visiting with Representative Pike in the Missouri House of Representatives, touring Jefferson Landing (which is currently featuring an exhibit of the 1904 World’s Fair) and touring the Missouri Governor’s Mansion.
Guests will have the option of enjoying a train ride to and from Jefferson City on the Missouri River Runner from the Lee’s Summit, MO, train station. “As I visit around the district at my Listening Posts, I often hear that many have not had the opportunity to visit the Missouri Capitol. “ Representative Pike commented. “This is an invitation to the citizens of District 126 to spend a day learning about the unique history of Missouri and our legislative process.”
