JEFFERSON CITY, MO— Each year financial institutions, businesses, government agencies and other organizations turn over millions of dollars and the contents of nearly 1,000 safe deposit boxes to Missouri Treasurer Clint Zweifel’s office. According to his resource, his office is holding almost $810 million in unclaimed assets in more than 4.7 million owner accounts. The average return is $300 and 1 in 10 Missourians has Unclaimed Property.
