Each month The Bates County Memorial Hospital gives individuals the opportunity to attend local support groups to help them cope with situations in their lives. These groups are a source of information and comfort as they help people deal with situations that impact their lives.
Bates County Memorial hospital offers the following Support Groups monthly:
Grief Support Group – This support group shares and encourages people during their grieving process and to help work through their way through the grieving process.
Multiple Sclerosis Support Group – This support group helps explore what helps and what hurts. They share ideas and bits of wisdom gleaned from living with MS.
Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group – This support groups helps one to explore, learn about and support one another through the process of Alzheimer’s disease. Sometimes, just knowing what could come next is your best tool.
Stroke Support Group – This group is a place for stroke survivors and caregivers to make friends, socialize, gain realistic feedback, help others and find meaning in life. Members help each other face and overcome common challenges by sharing experiences and encouraging one another.
Living With Diabetes Support Group – This support group continues to find helpful ways to live a quality life while sharing educational and personal experiences.
