A workshop will be held on Monday, May 19th at 6pm at the Vernon County Fairgrounds Diner on Centennial Boulevard in Nevada discussing two new pests that are threatening Missouri produce crops.
Las year a small vinegar fly hit berries and other small fruit crops across the state causing infestation of the fruit. The brown marmorated stinkbug has yet to become a problem in Missouri but is close to spreading into Missouri. This insect causes damage as it fees on fruits, vegetables and crops.
Attend the workshop to learn about both of these pests. The cost is $10 and you will need to register by May 16th by calling 417-448-2560.
