Keep A Look Out

On 11-25-2014 in rural Bates County, in the area of W Highway and east 52, Deputies took a report of a stolen calf. The calf is a red Angus steer. It weighs approximately 638 lbs. The calf has a blue tag in its ear with the number seven written on it.


On 11-28-2014 Bates County Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle just outside of Rich Hill in the Old Town entrance. The vehicle is a 2003 Dodge four door tow truck that is black in color. The vehicle was stolen from Coalgate Auto Sales out of Coalgate, Oklahoma.


On 11-28-2014 in rural Rich Hill, Deputies took a report of stolen firearms.

The victim stated he had one .22 LR bolt action rifle with a cherry hardwood stock. The model and serial numbers are unknown by the victim. There was also one 20 gauge pump shotgun that was stolen. The model and serial number is also unknown.


On 11-30-2014 in rural Rich Hill, Deputies took a report of items stolen from a shed. There was a Black and Decker 20 volt skill/drill combo along with three batteries that was stolen. There was also one Dewalt 4.5 inch grinder stolen from the shed.


The Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving these crimes. Please be aware of the traffic on your county road. If you see suspicious vehicles in your community, attempt to get a license plate number. It is also helpful to Deputies if you are able to get a vehicle description and a description of the person or persons in that vehicle.
