BATES COUNTY, Mo – As the holiday season is upon us, many have lost loved ones during this past year and in years past.
The Bates County Community Health Foundation places a Memory Tree at the Bates County Memorial Hospital each Christmas Season which allows as a place for the memory tree ornament to be displayed. The ornaments are designated in memory of a friend or loved one; these ornaments are on sale now.
Ornaments are $15 for one ornament or two for $25. Order forms are now available at the Bates County Memorial Hospital or contact Gwain Arney at Bates County Farm Bureau – 660-679-3155 and let him know how many ornaments you need and who they are in memory of. You may also stop by with your payment at the Farm Bureau office at 3 N. Main Street (East side of the Butler Square); your checks should be made out to the Bates County Community Health Foundation (BCCHF).
Funds generated will be used to provide scholarships for those planning in working in the health care field, or for employees at the Bates County Memorial Hospital that would like to continue their education in the medical field.
