Coach’s Comments-
“The parity of this tournament was strong. Dividing the wrestlers into A and B pools, with rare exceptions, created tough, close matches throughout the day for everyone. It takes a lot of stamina, toughness, and focus to wrestle five tough matches like this throughout the day, especially in round robin formats. At times, we weren’t aggressive enough on our feet and left points on the shelf, mismanaging short time situations and the mat edges. Those mistakes are unforgivable at the next tournament that we attend- the district tournament. We’re hitting the final weeks of the season, and any wrestler who wants to qualify for state will have to wrestle within the tactical style that wins in the post-season- winning the takedown margin in every match.”
