Eligibility for Housing Programs Affected by Cities’ Annexations

COLUMBIA, MO, January 29, 2015 – Areas annexed to 12 cities will become ineligible under provisions of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (“Farm Bill”). Cities affected include Blue Springs, Cape Girardeau, Florissant, Independence, Jefferson City, Oakville, O’Fallon, St. Charles, Wildwood, Columbia, Joplin and Springfield.


Areas annexed into these communities will become ineligible for Rural Development housing assistance programs effective February 2, 2015. The newly annexed areas are ineligible for home purchase and repair programs. Eligible area maps can be found at http://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/eligibility/welcomeAction.do.
