3rd Annual Ultimate Horseman's Challenge

BATES COUNTY, Mo - The Bates County Sheriff’s Posse Ultimate Horseman’s Challenge will be July 13th at the Bates County Fairgrounds. This event will be sanctioned by the Ultimate Horseman Challenge Association.

Competitors will compete over several courses with obstacles to show how good their horsemanship skills are. Admission for spectators are is free and concessions will be provided by the Butler Masons and Demolay.

There will be a $80 Entry Fee for the Open Division, a $70 Entry Fee for the Amateur Division, and a $60 Entry Fee for the Colt Division. These divisions will have a 60% Payback.
There will be a $50 Entry Fee for the Novice Division, a $50 Entry Fee for the Classic Division, a $40 Entry Fee for the Youth Division, and a $35 Entry Fee for the Backaroo Divison. These divisions will be awarded trophies, prizes, and ribbons.

The Bates County Sheriff Posse is looking for sponsors for the Ultimate Horseman’s Challenge. Sponsors keep this event free to the community. For $75 be an Obstacle Sponsor for each course and for $200 be a Corporate Course Sponsor. Corporate Course Sponsors are allowed to place banners on the course and come and promote their business at the event. All Sponsors were announced multiple times throughout the event last year by announcers. Those unable to be a sponsor can still donate for horse related items as prizes for the riders that register for the event. Money raised will also help support the Law Enforcement Museum Restoration Project.
