The 21st Annual Coal Centre Days July 12th & 13th

PRESCOTT, Ks - Friday July 12th will kick off the event with the Smokin’ Competition. The Smokin’ Competition will be held all day.

On July 12th there will also be a Pulled Pork Dinner starting at 5PM and continuing to 7PM, Ol’ Fashion Singing with the Charlie Horse Band, and an Ice Cream Social at 7:30PM. All events on July 12th will be held at the Prescott County View Home.

The 21st Annual Coal Centre Days will continue through Saturday July 12th. The day will begin with the Parade at 10AM on Main Street. Line-up for the parade will be at 9AM at 3rd and Main Street. The theme for the Parade will be “Got Milk?”.

Following the Parade will be many events at Faber Park. These events include the Rust and Chrome Show at 11AM. There will be a $15 entry fee for the Rust and Chrome Show. Following the Rust and Chrome show will a Baby Contest and Horseshoe Pitch.

The Baby Contest will be diapers only.
At Faber Park there will also be a Cake Walk at Noon and a Garden Tractor Pull at 1PM. Bourbon County Garden Tractor Pulling Association rules will apply to the Garden Tractor Pull. At 1:30PM there will be a Turtle Race and Kids Games.

The Automobile Trivia Contest will take place at 2PM and the Top 20 of the Rust and Chrome Show will be awarded at 2:30PM. The Pit Crew Challenge will be at 3PM. Following the Pit Crew Challenge will be the Burn-Out Contest at 3:30PM. There will be a $10 entry fee and a $200 payout.

To wrap up the evening and the 21st Annual Coal Centre Days will be the Dinner from 5 to 7PM and the Draft Horse Pull at 7PM. Both events will take place at their new location, Faber Park.
