(BUTLER, MO – June 12, 2014) – Ten young ladies took to the runway in the annual Bates County 4-H Fashion Revue and show held on June 9, 2014, at the First Christian Church in Butler.
According to Bates County 4-H Youth Specialist Alan J. Mundey, winners in the event will compete at the State Fashion Revue in Columbia in September. In the junior division (ages 8-10) of Clothes You Make, Emma McIntire (Hudson Hustlers 4-H) received top honors. Aubry Terry (County Line 4-H) will represent Bates County at the state event in the Clothes You Make intermediate division (ages 11-13) and Jaclyn Crawford (Amsterdam 4-H) will take the state stage in the senior division (ages 14 and older) of Clothes You Make.
State qualifiers in the Clothes You Buy category are intermediate division winner Shaylee Terry (County Line 4-H) and senior division winner Ella Armentrout (County Line 4-H).
In the Clothes You Knit/Crochet category, Aubry Terry took first, but because she qualified in two categories and can only compete in one at the State Fashion Revue, the first alternate Erin Armentrout (County Line 4-H) will advance to state competition in this category.
Other blue ribbon winners participating were Kayln Eckhoff, Alexis O’Farrell, Victoria Newkirk and Audrey Poland.
Thanks to volunteer 4-H leaders Shannon Crawford and Carla Armentrout for, once again, organizing the event. Thanks also to the Fashion Revue sponsors: Adrian Bank, Tyler Bise (Security Bank), State Farm Insurance (Kellie Davidson), Caskey Hopkins and Wilhelmus Law offices, Community First Bank and the First Christian Church of Butler.
