This Saturday, June 28th you have opportunity to step back in time and listen and dance to live music of the 1860’s.
Humboldt’s Civil War Days is sponsoring a Civil War Dance.
Join Robert Thomas as he calls and guides authentic era dances accompanied by the Camp Hunter String Band featuring local favorites Bob Horn and the Oliphants that will be performing popular 1860’s music.
You will see people dancing in confederate uniforms, civil war attire and ladies in dresses from the 1800’s or in a pair of jeans and tennis shoes. You do not have to be in costume to participate in the dance, just come as you are or simply grab a seat and watch all the excitement.
There is no charge for the dance that will be held in the Humboldt High School in the Old Gym from 7:30 – 10:30pm, just come and enjoy an evening with friends and refreshments.
The Humboldt High School is located at 1011 Bridge Street and there is extra parking in the rear.
