Traditions are an important part of our history and the Bates County Museum is pleased to announce their traditional Show ‘n Tell program will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 10:00 am in Robertson Hall, located inside the Museum. This is a free program for all to enjoy as well as to participate in. Folks are encouraged to bring items to share. They can be treasured childhood toys, memorabilia, maps, photographs, tea sets, Grandma’s apron, tools, or some unknown item that needs to be identified. One by one, the items on display will be highlighted and the owner will be asked to share the story…
Prior to the Show ‘n Tell there will be a short Historical Society Meeting in which members will vote and the 2014 Board of Directors will be certified. A brief overview of the coming season will be given and information about three major Museum projects will be discussed. Following the program, a free will donation Soup Luncheon will be served.
This annual program has become a favorite of the Museum’s members and supporters. You are encouraged to attend. Bring an item to share or just come to see some of the amazing things folks have at home and hear their stories.
