5K Run, Walk, or Ride Fundraiser in Butler

It’s time for the 62nd Annual Butler Saddle Club Rodeo at the Bates County Fairgrounds June 20th, 21st and 22nd.

New this year to the Saddle Club Rodeo will be a 5k run, walk or ride in place of the traditional rodeo parade. All proceeds from the 5k will be donated to the Bates County Memorial Hospital Cares free mammogram program.

You have the choice of walking, running or riding a bicycle or horse on Saturday, June 21st.

Open registration begins at 8am at the Bates County Fair Grounds arena and lineup will be at 8:30. Walkers and bikers will follow one trail while horseback riders will have their own route.

Maps will be available and check points will be at various locations.

Registration forms may be picked up at Max Motors in Butler or Heiman’s Agri Service on Pine Street.

The registration fees are $25 for ages 18 and up, $20 anyone 17 and under.

Pre-register by June 10th and receive a t-shirt or you may purchase a “Stomp Out Breast Cancer” t-shirt for just $15.

Get your walking/running shoes out, oil up the chains on your bike, or just saddle up your hose for the Butler Saddle Club 5k walk/run/ride on Saturday, June 21st.
