Cass County – The Metro Squad investigation into a Cass County homicide began this morning with 10 teams of investigators following up on information and evidence collected by Cass County Sheriff’s Office Detective’s on Wednesday.
Investigators are looking into the death of Forrest D. Fuller, 25, of Peculiar, Missouri. A call came into the Cass County Sheriff’s Office around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday from a person who saw the body of the victim in the Wills Cemetery on S. Thorngrove Rd. in rural Peculiar. Deputies arrived and located Fuller’s body near a vehicle in the cemetery.
“It appears that Mr. Fuller had been shot and at this time we have asked for the assistance of the Metro Squad,” stated Sheriff Dwight Diehl.
Mr. Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy. No other details of the investigation are being released at this time.
