BATES COUNTY, MO – Chief Jack Whitehorn is collecting items for the Quapaw Tribe in Oklahoma.
Items that are needed include: clothing, boots and shoes from baby to adults, blankets of any type or size, sleeping bags, quilts, baby blankets, pillows, towels, wash cloths, coats, jackets, socks of all sizes, toys for babies, boys, girls and teens, backpacks, baby supplies, baseball, football and basketball items, toiletries, toothpaste and toothbrushes, canned goods for Christmas dinner. Please put items in industrial strength trash bags for transporting and take them to the News Xpress.
He plans to leave the first week December and deliver the items.
