The 18th Annual Echoes of the Trail Cowboy Gathering will roll into Ft. Scott Kansas June 13th, 14th and 15th at the Community College.
This event always gathers cowboys from across the state to come and entertain everyone with their music, wagons and poetry.
Friday, June 13th will feature Danny and Willa Ellis in the Fine Arts Theater as well as Steven Spalding opening for the Cowboy Poet Singer Contest and a trade show.
The Theater will be open on Saturday, June 14th from 9am to 5pm with cowboy music, tales and a western trade show along with craft booths. Have lunch at the chuck wagon and watch 3 – 5 wagons roll in from Cato, KS on Saturday. If you are a horse person, you are welcome to ride alongside the wagon train.
Saturday will also feature many talented artists for your listening and viewing pleasure. At 3pm the winners of the Cowboy Poetry Contest will read or recite their winning poems.
Sunday, June 15th will feature the Cowboy Church Sunday morning at 9am out by the chuck wagon and wagon train.
Admission is free into the lobby area where the vendors will display their wares and for only $20 you can enjoy the entire weekend in the Fine Arts Center Theater or $12 for Friday and Saturday only.
