Arrest made in Schell City for Possession of Methamphetamines

VERNON COUNTY, Mo – A Vernon County resident was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a felony warrant that was issued by the 28th Judicial Court for possession of a controlled substance. According to a press release from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Michael W King, 56 of Schell City was arrested at a residence in Schell City by Sheriff’s Deputies and transported to the Vernon County Jail without incident.

According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, his office had received multiple calls from residents in the county of suspicious activity in the area and after following up on those leads, the CNET drug task force and investigators from the Sheriff’s Office were assigned to the case. King is being held in the county jail on a $25,000 cash only bond. “This all started with observant citizens so this is another good example of what can be accomplished when citizens and law enforcement work together” said Mosher.
