HARRISONVILLE, Mo – Thursday night, Harrisonville city crews spent three hours repairing a water leak in the 300 block of East South Street that is estimated to have spilled over 100,000 gallons of water. Residents in the area between the water tower and South Street may experience some discolored water this morning caused by the sediment that was stirred up in some of the older water mains during the leak.
The fastest, easiest way to flush this sediment from your water lines is to simply let the cold water run for a few minutes until it clears. It is not necessary to run the hot water. If your water does not start to clear after a few minutes, please call the public works director at 380-8964.
