VERNON COUNTY, Mo – A Bronaugh resident is behind bars after he allegedly tried outrunning Vernon County Sheriff’s Deputies in a mini-van late Friday night. Tyler Millman, 22 of Bronaugh was arrested when his vehicle was stopped on N highway just west of 1425 road. The chase started on I-49 when a Sheriff’s Deputy noticed the vehicle driving very erratically and at a high rate of speed. The deputy tried to stop the car because it almost hit another vehicle on I-49” but when the vehicle failed to stop, the deputy called out the pursuit and was soon joined by other deputies.
The vehicle continued to head south on I-49 and then turned off at the Sheldon exit and headed west on N highway. The pursuit quickly came to an end when a Trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisting the Sheriff’s Office deployed spike strips at 1425 road deflating two of the vans tires.
Millman was taken into custody when the vehicle came to a stop and was transported to the Vernon County Jail. Sheriff’s Deputies also found what they believe to be methamphetamines in the van as well. Millman is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond.
