Coach’s Comments-
“Our tournament keeps its reputation once again as a strong, diverse, and interesting mid-season competition. Our tournament joined 14 teams this year, the largest number of teams we have ever included for this event. We placed 3 wrestlers at this tournament, which is decent considering the competition level. Dylan Morris picked up his varsity medal. Tayje Van Voorst has shown a senior’s consistency, placing at the first 4 tournaments we attend. Jacob Shipley continues to perform well as a freshman, earning his 3rd tournament medal against a good field of 106’s. Rogers won a hard-earned championship, placing 11 of their 14 wrestlers. We have the chance now to build off of this week. Wrestlers should start to separate from the pack and take new ground at this point of the season. The next few weeks will be very indicative of our post-season potential.”
