Vehicle Hits Building then Driver Flees

HENRY COUNTY, Mo – According to Sheriff J. Kent Oberkrom, Deputies investigated an accident at Main and Jackson. According the Sheriff’s Office report, a 2008 white Ford Explorer struck another vehicle at the intersection of Main and Jackson Streets.


After striking the other vehicle, the Explorer left the roadway and impacted a building on the northeast corner of the intersection. According to witnesses, two subjects exited the Explorer and ran west on Jackson Street, prior to law enforcement arriving on the scene. No one was injured in the other vehicle.


Evidence at the scene have lead Sheriff’s deputies to seek the whereabouts of Jeremiah P. (J.P.) Evans, age 29 of Windsor. Evans, who has an active warrant for felony property damage, is a person of interest in this leaving the scene of an accident investigation.
