Butler Track Results

BUTLER, Mo – Yesterday the Butler Bears Track team traveled to Warrensburg MO to compete in the UCM Indoor Relays. With the expansion of 5 classes to track and field sport, they decided to throw Class 3 in with Class 1 & 2.

There were 29 schools there and with 2 kids from a school in each event, at times there were 58 kids in each event. I am extremely proud of how the kids performed and never backed down from competition. This was a non-scored meet for the teams, but they medaled the Top 6 from each event.

Here are the athletes who medaled at yesterdays events:

Pole Vault – Ethan Gardner – 4th place

400m Dash – Austin Castaneda – 4th place

4×400 Relay – Devan Lovell, Ethan Gardner, Tanner Diehl, Austin Castaneda – 2nd place

This was our first track meet and the competition was great. If you happen to see these gentleman, give them a congratulations.

Our next track meet is at HOME tomorrow, Thursday March 26th. There will be 10 schools attending. Field events start at 3:30 and running events start at 4:45. Come on out and watch your kids, students, and athletes perform.
