Harrisonville Candidates Forum Will Be Monday, Mar. 30

Cass County Harrisonville candidates for school board, mayor, and aldermen will participate in a Candidates Forum on Monday, March 30, starting at 6 p.m. in the Harrisonville Chamber of Commerce offices, 106 S. Independence.

From 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., residents and candidates will have a chance to visit informally. Audience members will also have an opportunity to submit written questions before the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Moderators will ask the questions giving candidates the opportunity to discuss their ideas and views on various topics facing the community.

Because of the large number of candidates expected, the school board candidates will be featured first from 6:30 – 7 p.m., followed by the mayoral candidates from 7 – 7:30 p.m. and ending with the aldermen candidates from 7:30 – 8 p.m.

There is no charge to attend the forum which is being sponsored by the city’s Strategic Planning Implementation Committee with the assistance of the Harrisonville Chamber of Commerce.

Municipal elections will be held Tuesday, April 7.
