CASS COUNTY, Mo – The Harrisonville Cass R-IX School District is pleased to announce that Dennis “Frank” Dahman has been hired as the Superintendent of Schools.
Mr. Dahman comes to the district from the Miami R-I School District where he has served as Superintendent for the past four years. He is a native of Butler, Missouri and has a total of 26 years in the field of education, 19 of which are administrative experience.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Central Missouri, a Master of Science Degree from the University of Central Missouri, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Superintendency from the University of Central Missouri.
Mr. Dahman has served as Coordinator of the Central District Administrator Mentor Program and served on the advisory board for certification, both for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. He also currently serves on two University of Central Missouri advisory boards – the Central Regional Professional Development Center and the College of Education Boards. He has also served as a Central District Principals Association Executive Board member.
Additional current professional organization memberships include the American Association of School Administrators and the Missouri Association of School Administrators.
Mr. Dahman and his wife Nora reside in Harrisonville and have two children, Nicole and Joe, who are both graduates of the Harrisonville School District. They have two granddaughters, Sophie and Harper.
Mr. Dahman will begin his employment with the district on July 1.
