CASS COUNTY, Mo – The first weekend of the Harrisonville Spring City Wide Clean Up event will be held this Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9, at Town & Country transfer station, located at 22820 S. 291 Highway. Times are 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Residents may bring trash, scrap lumber, discarded metal, and large and bulky items such as appliances and furniture, and drop them off, free of charge. Up to eight, unmounted light truck or passenger car tires will also be accepted per participant. City employees will be on hand to check proof of residency and help unload items. Proof of residency is required to participate in this drop off.
Items that cannot be accepted include tires of any size or kind other than those noted above, brush or yard waste, batteries, shingles, oil-based paints, pesticides, insecticides, yard chemicals, paint thinners and used motor oil.
The drop off will continue next weekend, May 15 and 16, with the same hours.
This drop off is for residents only. Residents should be prepared to show a utility bill or other proof of residency to take advantage of these services.
