BATES COUNTY, Mo – With Memorial Day quickly approaching, it’s a time of reflecting and remembering our lost loved ones. The Trail of Memories was established in April of 2007 by the family of Debbie Bledsoe as a living memorial in her honor.
Debra lost her battle with breast cancer on January 20, 2007. Her twin sister Dana Bridges began this living memorial which allows families to adopt a flowering tree or purchase a personalized bench honoring their lost loved ones. A constant reminder of the love of families.
Trail of Memories is located on the west side of the Aquatic Park and flowing onto the Bates County Memorial Hospital Campus. When you visit the
Trail of Memories you will find a beautiful trail lined with flowering trees and benches where you can sit and enjoy a moment of silence in reflection of those loved ones taken too soon.
Flowering trees are available for purchase for a $75 contribution and a memorial plaque will be in a place of honor beside the tree. Engraved benches are available for just $150.
Visit www.trailofmemories.org where you will find the forms you need. For more information call 660-679-4915 or contact the Bates County Community Health Foundation office at 660-200-7072. Copies of both forms are found below, just open and print them out and mail them to the address on the forms.
