VERNON COUNTY, Mo – Charges have been issued for a rural Nevada man after Deputies responded to a call of “shots fired” in the Milo area Saturday afternoon.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Joshua L Schnedler, 34, has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said Schnedler allegedly fired a weapon during a verbal dispute at a residence in Milo Saturday, and he confirmed that a weapon was seized at the scene of the incident. The charges include second degree assault, but the Sheriff said he could not release any other details about the assault at this time. “An assault did take place, but investigators are still following up on leads so we cannot release any details this time.”
The Sheriff said no one was hurt and Schnedler was taken into custody without incident. Schnedler is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
