The Butler Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Dinner at the Elks Lodge on Thursday, March 27th. Chamber members were entertained by the Stringbeans during dinner.
President Carmin Gregory expressed gratitude for everyone’s help during the past year and thanked Lee Anna Schowengerdt, who took over as Executive Director and she and the Board expressed their appreciation for all of Lee Anna’s hard work and dedication and presented her with the 2014 Pace Setter Award. The award is given to the person or persons who have exhibited outstanding qualities of leadership. Carmin further stated that while the Chamber is the center of activities in the town, Lee Anna is the center of the Board.
Awards were given to 5 year membership recipients, Citizens Banks, Countywide Disposal/ Ready Concrete, DSW Securities, Rocking Chair Quilts, Western MO Realty, In Home Decorating, Installation Plus, Schapeler Farms, Majestic Cellar, Mullinax Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Those celebration 10 years of membership include Butler Nazarene Church, Ohio Street United Methodist Church. 15 years – Mr. Longarm; 20 years – Southside Café and Diana Dee Thomas. Celebrating 25 years was McDonald’s of Butler; 30 years – Heiman Agri-Services.
Those receive a 50 year membership plaque included Briarwood Farms, Dr. Curtis & Ann Long Enterprises, NAPA Auto Parts and Caskey Hopkins, Wilhelmus Law Firm. 55 years was Immanuel Baptist Church and Daniel’s Plumbing. Tiona Enterprises had a 60 plaque and celebrating 65 years of Chamber membership – Dr.Robert Hatten Chiropractic and Drs. Noe, Miller and Miller.
New Board members elected include Kellie Davidson, State Farm Insurance; Miranda Parks, Medicalodge and Amanda Carullo from Drs. Noe, Miller and Miller.
