On April 12th at 5:08am, Butler officers responded to an address in the 300 block of west Mill for a noise complaint. Upon arrival Officers made contact an intoxicated male.
Officers attempted to take the male into custody for disorderly conduct when the suspect fought with the officers. Pepper spray was deployed and the suspects’ dog attacked the officers while the suspect fled inside his residence. The suspect then refused to open the door.
All available officers were called out along with several Bates County Deputies. At 5:43am the suspect surrendered to the Officers. The suspect was charged and placed on a 12 hour detoxification at the Bates County Jail.
