On April 13th Butler Officers were busy taking reports of vehicle break-ins from the overnight. Officers performed area canvasses and attempted to locate the possible suspect[s].
On the same date, the Butler Police Department assisted by the Bates County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol took a 28 year old male suspect, Jeffrey M. Bradley, into custody at 304 West Clark Street in Butler for the possession of stolen property. The Butler Police Department asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the recovered property that was located in the suspect’s vehicle.
The public’s response was great and we were able to return approximately $5,000 worth of stolen property to the rightful owners. If you have had or know anyone who has had property taken from them, please contact the Butler Police Department at 660-679-6131.
On April 14th Jeffrey M. Bradley was served with an arrest warrant for receiving stolen property theft / stealing and possession of a controlled substance. Bradley was currently out of custody on a signature bond from previous charges when these incidents occurred. Bradley is currently being held at the Bates County Jail on a $35,000 cash or surety bond.
