Students from Butler, Adrian, Rich Hill, Miami and Hume gathered at the Butler High School Thursday morning for a simulated drunk driving accident.
The purpose of the exercise was to show students the cause and effect when you drink and drive.
The Butler Police Department, the Bates County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri Highway Patrol and Butler’s Emergency teams were on hand to simulate to the students what happens when an accident occurs, both to the victims and to the driver, and the steps that are taken.
