Bates County Area Habitat for Humanity was started in 1997. They have to this date built 4 houses & are working on the 5th one right now in Rich Hill. The house was bought from Community First for $1.00. We are working on refurbishing it.
The partner family (the family that was selected for the house) has to put in what is called sweat equity on the house. Anyone within the family or friends can put in the sweat equity.
They are in need of funds & also need people that would like to be on the board to help with various tasks, & new ideas for fundraisers.
