Local family involved in a three-car accident at Danley Cross Roads in Alabama Monday afternoon that resulted in multiple injuries.
Tim Moore, 39 of Nevada along with his children Tayelor, Jerrod and Trentyn were on their way to a week¹s vacation in Florida. A second car traveling with them, owned by Dick and Shirley Sargent of Butler, and driven by Tracye Sargent Moore and was right behind the Moore vehicle, but were not involved in the accident.
As the Moore vehicle was passing through a yellow flashing light intersection heading south, the opposite flow of traffic which ran east and west had a stop sign. A vehicle failed to stop and although both vehicles tried to avoid each other, the Moore vehicle was struck on the driver’s side causing it to make a 360+ turn. The Moore vehicle then hit another vehicle while the car that struck the Moore vehicle Tim’s car was hit into another vehicle while the car that hit Tim ran into a pole.
The Moore vehicle was struck by Wendy Ann Donaldson, 39, of Opp was driving a 2009 Honda Pilot. She had two passengers in her vehicle. One passenger was taken by Life Flight to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for life-threatening injuries. Donaldson and the other passenger were transported to the Medical Center in Dothan for treatment of their injuries.
Tim Moore suffered a concussion and a compound fracture to his arm and several lacerations on his head arms and legs. He had two plates and several screws in his arm. Tayelor and Jerrod Moore both received stitches and Trentyn had a mild concussion.
