Ready, Set, Jump

This Saturday, April 19th there will be special event happening at the Butler Airport.

Aaron Allen a Physical Education Teacher at the Butler Elementary School will be skydiving out of an airplane wearing a lovely red dress.  You may ask why anyone would jump out of a plane to begin with but also wearing a “red dress”.  That is exactly what he promised to do if a goal of $10,000 was raised for the “Jump Rope for Heart / Hoops for Heart program.

The Jump Rope for Heart / Hoops for Heart program is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) which promote physical education and provide children with knowledge of heart disease and stroke while raising funds for cardiovascular disease research, stroke research and health education.

The children in the Butler Elementary School met the challenge of raising $10,000 and just as he promised; Mr. Allen will be jumping out of an airplane Saturday morning.

Reward prizes will be given to the children and currently Mr. Allen is providing the prizes at his expense.  If you would like to help with the cost of the prizes, please see Mr. Allen.

Don’t miss this once in a lifetime experience this Saturday morning at the Butler Airport beginning at 10am.
