Methamphetamines were also recovered from the residence during the search. “We found a good amount of methamphetamines in the house, but both residents had fled from the house before we served the warrant” said the Sheriff. Vernon County Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Ewing III filed charges after the investigation was complete and warrants for both James and Christy Sorden were issued. Christy Sorden was found in Branson and transported back to Vernon County Tuesday evening, and James Sorden was arrested by a Vernon County Deputy and a Nevada Police Officer late Tuesday night at a residence in Nevada. Sheriff Mosher said the cooperation between the Sheriff’s Office and the Nevada Police Department is a contributing factor with the amount of drug arrests that has been made. “Both agencies are working together and it’s making a difference” said the Sheriff.
