BATES COUNTY, Mo – Bates County has been selected to advance to the quarterfinal round of the Georgetown University Energy Prize, which is a $5 million incentive competition to help reduce America’s energy consumption.
A PR event will be held on Monday, August 18th at the Bates County Annex beginning at 5pm.
Bates County is one of the 52 small and medium-sized cities and counties who have advanced to the Quarterfinal round.
Elizabeth Ogg, Bates County’s Economic Developer, is leading the project and has assembled a team, outlined a plan and has secured signed commitments of collaboration from different groups within the county which include county and city governments and electric and natural gas utilities.
