Papinville Picnic Saturday, September 27th

BATES COUNTY, Mo – The 23rd annual Papinville picnic will be held on Saturday, September 27th.

Planned activities include free games for the children, bingo, cake walk, pie contest (pies to be auctioned prior to the meal), wagon rides by Don Pippin and friends (one or more historical rides), live music, and buffet meal for free will donation. Our friend and tribes member of the Osage Indians, Jack White Horn, will be there to visit with everyone.

The Committee is asking for donations of cakes, pies or other dessert. Bring the day of the picnic in disposable containers.

They will be having a new book for sale this year entitled “Damming the Osage” by Leland and Crystal Payton. These books will be available at the Old Settlers meeting this month and at the picnic.

There will be a silent auction. If you would like to donate items contact Phyllis, Beverly or any member of the organization prior to the picnic date. If you bring them the day of the picnic they request that you have them there by 1:30 p.m.
