BATES COUNTY, Mo – Thanks to the Bates County Youth Advocacy Pool Pals Program 91 children had fun at the pool this summer. The program collects money from donors to purchase season passes for Bates County children.
“This was the most children we have ever sponsored,” said Jeremy Platt, BCYAC president. “That’s enough to fill the pool!” The organization raised $4255.00 through donors and added another $1000 that was raised through BCYAC’s biannual Spuds for Kids fundraiser.
“We couldn’t do programs like this without the generous support of the community,” added Platt. “We are just the facilitators, the businesses and community members should be proud of what this means to these kids and the opportunity and memories that they provided 91 children.”
