ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mo – Ellett Memorial Hospital is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, August 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the Forest Park Community Building in Appleton City to discuss the current and future status of healthcare as provided by Ellett Memorial Hospital and AC Rural Health Clinic.
Herb B. Kuhn, President and CEO of the Missouri Hospital Association will be making a presentation on the current status and the future of Rural Healthcare in Missouri. Also attending will be Donald J. Babb, CEO of Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar to discuss current contractual relationships and some possible expansions of services in the future between Citizens Memorial Hospital and Ellett Memorial Hospital.
Ray Magers, CEO of Ellett Memorial Hospital and staff will be in attendance to discuss current financial status of the hospital and performance trends over the last few years. The purpose of this meeting is to bring information to the community about Ellett Memorial Hospital currently and for the future within the backdrop of what is currently happening in St. Clair County in the Osceola area.
In addition the hospital needs the public’s views on the scope of services and the number and type of providers that they want the hospital to provide. Please bring your questions to the meeting.
