BUTLER, Mo – Beware, local business owners, a telephone scam is going on.
A company out of state is calling local businesses asking them to purchase, high dollar advertising in the “Welcome to Butler” Community Guide.
The caller states “this is endorsed” by the Butler Chamber of Commerce.
Fm92 contacted Lee Anna Schowengerdt, Butler Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Director and we were told this in fact is not correct.
We suggest you always use caution and verify information when you purchase advertising on the telephone because the money you spend may not stay in our community.
