Phil Dixon Coming to Bates County Museum

BUTLER, Mo -Phil Dixon, one of the founders of the Negro League Baseball Museum in Kansas City will be at the Bates County Museum on Saturday, August 23rd sharing is memorabilia and stories about the Kansas City Monarchs.


The program will begin at 10am in the Robertson Hall on the 23rd, the anniversary of the Kansas City Monarchs playing a baseball game in Rich Hill.


Many of the original scorecards will be on display as well as the memorabilia collected over the years.


Following the program you are invited to a free will donation lunch where great baseball food will be served – Hot dogs and all the fixings.
