Postal Carriers collect 680 pound of donations

Every second Saturday in May, letter carries in more than ten thousand cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers who participate in the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp out Hunger National Food Drive- the largest one-day food drive in the nation.
The May, local area letter Carriers Food Drive was a huge success in this community. Local Citizen’s donated over 680 pounds of non-perishable food during the May, “Stamp Out Hunger Drive”.
The food donated will be forwarded to the Harvester’s National Organization and then distributed to various Food Pantries to replenish their shelves.
Each donation will put nutritious food on the plates of adults and children. Your Postal Carrier thanks you for your generous donations to their food drive.
