On Thursday, May 29 at approximately 12:50 AM the Rich Hill Fire Department, along with mutual aid from Butler Fire Dept., responded to a residential structure fire at 307 W Park. Upon arrival, heavy fire was found in the rear of a two story wood frame house, in the utility/laundry room with obvious fire extension into the kitchen area and into a second story bedroom.
Two adults and one child were at home at the time of the incident and got out safely. Extensive structural damage was done to the rear of the house and smoke damage though out the home. The incident was declared under control at approximately 1:53 AM, with the last units leaving the scene at approximately 3:25 AM.
